2026 RACE DAY EVENTS
Time Attack is a non–wheel-to-wheel competition where drivers compete against the clock to set the fastest possible lap time. The category welcomes everyone, from street-driven cars to fully built race cars, making it one of the most accessible forms of circuit competition.
Vehicles are classed to ensure competitors race against similar cars with comparable levels of modification and performance, creating fair and competitive battles across the field. Whether you are a first-time track driver or an experienced racer, there is a class designed for you.
TCE is a high-intensity, two-driver endurance race featuring a mandatory pit stop that brings strategy, teamwork, and racecraft into play. Driver changes, pit execution, and consistent pace are critical, delivering true endurance racing excitement.
Designed with affordable grassroots motorsport in mind, TCE features two competitive classes to ensure close, fair, and accessible racing for drivers at all levels.
Drift Attack forms part of the Vilaca Racing race day programme and delivers high-energy, crowd-focused action. It is a judged competition focused on speed, control, commitment, and execution.
Drift Attack is facilitated and judged by Skellywags, who oversee the judging process and competition format as part of the overall race day.

“WHAT IS TIME ATTACK?”
Time Attack is a motorsport event where drivers compete against the clock to achieve the fastest lap time on a racetrack. Unlike traditional racing, where multiple cars race against each other simultaneously, Time Attack focuses on individual lap times. This format allows drivers to push their cars to the limit without the risk of collision, emphasizing precision, skill, and vehicle performance
“WHAT DO I NEED TO ENTER?”
Age: You need to be older than 18.
License:Have a valid driver’s license.
Safety Gear: Have a helmet in good condition.
Registration: Enter on the Vilaca Racing website.

“ARE THERE OTHER CARS ON TRACK?”
Yes, the cars are spaced out on the circuit, and there are strict protocols on overtaking, with specific areas where it is allowed. This ensures safety and minimizes the risk of collisions.
“WHERE DO YOU RACE?”
The Vilaca Racing Time Attack Championship hosts events predominantly in Gauteng. The series uses main circuits like Zwartkops and Red Star Raceway but also incorporates karting circuits like Formula-K SA.
